Terms & Conditions

1. General

These terms and conditions apply to all offers, agreements, and services provided by Studio Janeau, based in the Netherlands. By using the services of Studio Janeau, the client agrees to these terms.

2. Services

Studio Janeau provides photography services, including but not limited to lifestyle, hospitality, portrait, and travel photography. The scope and content of each assignment are agreed upon in advance.

3. Offers and agreements

All offers are non-binding unless stated otherwise. An agreement is concluded after written confirmation by both parties.

4. Copyright and image use

All images created by Studio Janeau remain the property of the photographer. The client receives a usage license as agreed upon. Images may not be edited, transferred, or resold without written permission.

Studio Janeau retains the right to use delivered images for its own promotional purposes, such as portfolio, website, and social media, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing in advance.

5. Payment

Invoices must be paid within 14 days of the invoice date, unless agreed otherwise. In case of non-payment, Studio Janeau reserves the right to suspend further work.

6. Cancellation

Cancellation of an assignment must be made in writing. If an assignment is cancelled within 48 hours prior to the scheduled date, a portion of the agreed fee may be charged.

7. Liability

Studio Janeau is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Any liability is limited to the invoice amount of the relevant assignment.

8. Portrait rights

When individuals are recognisable in photographs, Studio Janeau respects portrait rights. For commercial assignments, the client grants permission for the creation and use of the images as agreed. If a portrayed individual objects to publication, Studio Janeau will seek an appropriate solution in consultation.

It is the responsibility of the client to obtain permission from portrayed individuals for the use of the images when required.

9. Force majeure

In the event of force majeure, Studio Janeau has the right to cancel or reschedule the agreement without liability for damages.

10. Governing law

All agreements are governed by Dutch law.
